Oatmeal Cookies

  • 1 Cookie sheet

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 ea Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cups Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1-1/2 cups Oats
  • 1/2 cup Raisins

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • In large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.
    1/2 cup Butter, softened, 1/2 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed, 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
    1 ea Egg, 1 tsp Vanilla
  • Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl; mix well.
    1 cups Flour, 1/2 tsp Baking soda, 1 tsp Ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients; mix well
  • Add oats and raisins; mix well.
    1-1/2 cups Oats, 1/2 cup Raisins
  • Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie a sheet.
  • Bake 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie.
  • Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack.
  • Cool completely.
