Heat oven to 475 degrees
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high
3 Tbsp Olive oil
Fry the garlic until lightly golden, about 1 minute.
5 cloves Garlic, sliced
Stir in the paprika, tomato paste, red pepper flakes, and cumin, and fry for 30 seconds. Reduce heat as needed to prevent the garlic from burning.
2 oz Tomato paste, 1-1/2 tsp Paprika, 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes, 1 tsp Cumin
Add the beans, water, and generous pinches of salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
28 oz Black beans, drained., 2 cups Water, boiling
Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top and bake until the cheese has melted, about 5 to 10 minutes.
