Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter
This sirloin steak recipe is served with very garlicky butter. Scale up for additional servings.

- 1 Oven safe skillet
- 1 Small sauce-pan
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 ea Clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 12 oz Top sirloin steak 1-inch thickness
Instructions
- Allow steak to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Remove the steak from their packaging and pat dry with paper towels.12 oz Top sirloin steak
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.2 Tbsp Butter
- Stir in minced garlic and garlic powder. Set aside.1 ea Clove garlic, 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. At the same time, preheat the skillet on the stove top over medium-high heat.
- Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper
- Once the oven is just a few minutes away from being preheated, add some butter to the skillet and heat until melted. Add the steak. Sear, without moving around, until a brown crust forms on the bottom. Flip and sear on the other side.
- Transfer the pan to the oven. Roast until the steak reach your desired doneness. Medium rare – 1 minuteMedium – 2 minutesMedium well – 3 minutesWell – 4 minutes
- Remove from the oven and allow steak to rest for 3-5 minutes.
- Transfer steaks to warmed plates; brush the tops liberally with garlic butter.
