Heat oven to 375°F.
In large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.
1/2 cup Butter, softened, 1/2 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed, 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
1 ea Egg, 1 tsp Vanilla
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl; mix well.
1 cups Flour, 1/2 tsp Baking soda, 1 tsp Ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients; mix well
Add oats and raisins; mix well.
1-1/2 cups Oats, 1/2 cup Raisins
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie a sheet.
Bake 9-10 minutes for a chewy cookie.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack.
Cool completely.
