Patagonia – Penguins

After Torres del Paine, some of the team went to Punta Arenas and spend a couple days. One day, we took an excursion to see penguins.

Magellanic Penguins on Magdalena Island
The penguins are replacing their feathers for winter migration either to the Atlantic up to Brazil or Pacific up to Bolivia.
This penguin is call out to its partner.
There is an old lighthouse on the island that is no longer used. The lighthouse used to help mariners navigating the Straights of Magellan.
The island is a sanctuary.
