Annie

Annie was a section hiker from Portland, Oregon. Her “trail name” is Splash, and we met between Roosevelt Marina and Sunflower. After Sunflower, I needed to resupply in Payson, which I heard was an easy hitch but long. Annie also wanted to stop in Payson and suggested we share a hotel there. I agreed.

Annie is fun, intelligent, and creative, but I think she gave me the flu since I came down with symptoms a couple of days later and ended up getting off the trail for ten days. I had congestion, a cough, and a fever. Annie did not have all those symptoms but did have congestion. She was the only person with whom I spent significant time. Regardless, I enjoyed my time with her and appreciated the Leukotape she gave me.

Annie is a great hiker, loves her cats, and misses them when away. She had only a short time before returning to work, so she hiked a few sections and did some trail magic.
